Hello and welcome to The J Journal

Hey there! welcome to The J Journal, this is my very first post- not going to lie, the process of setting up the blog was a lot more stressful than I had assumed, but I am almost there – I think. In the few paragraphs below I will tell you a little bit about myself; who I am, what I do and what I hope to gain from this journey I will be sharing with you all. So, grab a drink (I’m British so it has to be tea), get cosy and have a read!

I am a 22-year-old medical student from Warwickshire, England (aka, Shakespeares County). I enjoy travelling, creating things, cooking (baking too), home improvements and design amongst many other hobbies and interests I hope to share with you all.

I currently work for a multinational company representing numerous global charities from protection of wildlife and animals to improvements in healthcare facilities. Yes, I do all of that intensive work whilst doing my undergrad degree, prepping for my masters and trying to have a bit of a social life. BUT, don’t let that busy lifestyle freak you out, some days all I do is lay in bed. I have a pretty intense exam coming up in around 2 weeks and I had scheduled to start revising 2 weeks ago, but still have not (been spending a lot of time in bed haha), I promise, let the Christmas rush be over and I will be right on it (only six-ish months until I graduate 😉 so need to give it my all this final semester).

Having a blog is something I have wanted to do for a very very long time but out of no reason other than laziness I didn’t get around to it, but LO and BEHOLD here I am today finally doing this, and it feels amazing. I AM SO EXCITED! Can’t wait to share all the amazing experiences, stories, advice and recommendations with you all. I have not set up any constraints for content I have in mind, I want to have maximum freedom to share and cover a wide range of areas. Some of the areas my blog will be venturing are; grooming (health & beauty), lifestyle (uni, what I am reading, my research), travels (holidays, days out, adventures, tech (I am currently working on converting my home to a smart home- want to share it with you all) and then there is the section where I will get into everything else; interior design (my guilty pleasure [if thats a thing?]); daily quotes (I love motivational inspirational quotes- but please don’t hold me to the word ‘daily’) AND SO SO MUCH MORE!

I just cant wait to get typing, uploading and sharing this journey with you all, I feel I want to share what I am getting up to, talk about experiences and interact with like minded readers to create a network of fantastic people. I plan on firstly covering a year of blogging- regardless of how it goes in the first few months, good or bad, I will carry on and blog the year 2020. If after a year I know that I have struggled, or decided blogging is not for me, I may stop, but if enjoy it (which I know I will) I really intend on continuing and growing.

So, I really hope you enjoy whats coming in this year and I really hope to stay true and committed to it. I will apologise from now if anything offends, upsets or annoys you (not planning for any of that) but if that does happen then please get in touch with me and we can have a chat.

Other than that, all the best, have a nice few days over the Christmas break and I look forward to beginning this Journey from 01-01-20.

Have an excellent New Year!

J.
